As a company, we believe that a successful onboarding process is crucial to the success of both you, as a new employee, and Significa. Our goal is to create an environment where new team members feel supported and empowered to contribute to our mission from day one.

Our onboarding process has been designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to our company, culture, and values. We want to ensure that you feel confident in your role and understand the expectations of your position whilst also recognising that no two people's onboarding experience will be the same – it will be a personalised experience, and we will work with you to maximise your success at Significa.


Before you start, we'll send you a welcome email with important documents such as links to our employee handbook, benefits information, and any necessary paperwork. We also provide you with an overview for your first week so you can have a good idea of what to expect and who'll you'll be meeting. We know starting a new job can be an anxious time, we'll be available to address any doubts you have in advance.

First day.

On your first day, you'll be greeted by your Team Lead, assigned a Buddy and given a tour of the office – get to know where the snack stash is, that's important. You'll receive your Significa Welcome Pack to make sure you fit right in with all the clothing gear. You'll also receive your laptop, AirPods and any other necessary equipment. We will help you to get all set up with software logins etc. At this point, we will also address any remaining paperwork. Then, it's time for your Welcome Lunch – you'll go for lunch with your Team, so don't pack one. Once you're back in the office, it's time for your profile photo to be taken. It's also a great chance to dig around Notion, learn more about your teammates and complete your User Manual. It'll be a lot to take in, so we encourage you to take your time and ask plenty of questions.

First week.

You'll have been assigned a Buddy on your first day. Keep them close and continue to ask lots of questions, they will help guide you through your department's processes, but importantly talk and walk you through our values and culture – this will be ongoing beyond your first day and week. Throughout the first week, you'll meet team members from across Significa, and start to get accustomed to our processes. We encourage you to sit in on team meetings of other teams to see how they work and understand the different projects that are taking place. You'll also have check-in meetings to see how you are feeling about the big change.

30, 60, 90-day roadmap.

Working with your Buddy and Team Lead, you'll work on putting together a 30, 60, and 90-day roadmap, so you can see the direction of travel for your first 3 months, with expectations and targets. Every hire is different, and everybody is bringing their own unique individuality to Signfica, so this is not a one-size-fits-all Onboarding. We will tailor this roadmap with you to make sure that everybody is clear on expectations. During the first month, you'll meet with management to discuss your progress and give and receive feedback on how things are going for you. You'll also have the opportunity to attend various team meetings and company-wide events to get a better understanding of our organisation as a whole.

Ongoing support.

We understand that Onboarding is an ongoing process, and we are committed to supporting you throughout your career at Significa - it doesn't end with Onboarding. We encourage open communication and feedback to ensure that you feel supported and can contribute to Significa to the best of your abilities.
