This is a draft.
Our team is currently cracking away at creating more content to make our Handbook something increggdible. Soon, you'll be able to explore it fully. In the meantime, think of it as a carton of eggs, each section packed with the potential to deliver something eggceptional.
Development
At Significa, the Development team is not too big, and not too small, either. It's just the right size. It's dynamic and multi-disciplinary.
The team's primary focus is to translate the design and creative vision of the agency into functional and user-friendly applications that meet the needs of clients and end-users. Our work ranges from web and mobile apps to complex software systems and platforms. When challenged with a problem, we aim for the most efficient and problem-specific solution. But good enough is not enough – we aspire to deliver high-quality products that don't do less than exceed expectations using a range of programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
More than technical experts, our engineering team is made of strong problem-solvers. They work independently and take ownership of their work, but are also comfortable collaborating with others to solve complex problems and deliver successful projects.
Being part of a design-driven agency, our Development team strives to solve complex engineering problems with a Design-led mindset to create functional solutions without overlooking the aesthetic side.
User-centred.
A Design-led mindset focuses on understanding the needs of the user, which in Engineering translates to prioritizing the needs of the end user in the development process. By understanding the user's needs, engineers can design intuitive, easy-to-use solutions that meet the user's requirements.
Iterative process.
A Design-led mindset emphasizes rapid prototyping and iteration, which can be applied to Engineering by using an agile development approach. Engineers can use iterative development to test and refine their solutions, making improvements along the way until they arrive at a final product that meets the requirements of our end-user.
Creativity.
Creativity doesn't surface only on the outcome of a visual solution – by embracing creativity and exploring multiple solutions to a problem, with an open mind and a willingness to explore unconventional solutions, engineers can develop innovative and effective solutions.
Collaboration.
A Design-led mindset emphasizes collaboration and cross-functional teamwork, which means engineers need to work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development process. Only when we work collaboratively, can we better understand the needs of the user and create solutions that meet those needs.
Empathy.
Avoiding the one-size-fits-all mindset is key for engineers to put themselves in the end-user's shoes, understand their pain points, and design solutions that address those needs. Empathy is fundamental to enabling engineers to create products that go beyond functionality but are also enjoyable and easy to use.
We are design-driven, and our goal is to create high-quality digital experiences, specifically tailored for whoever the target audience is.
